anytime that you have sex, you COULD be pregnant.

If you are going to have sex, you need to use protection or face the fact that you could be parents.

At what point of your cycle were you? The most fertile time is the midpoint in most women. However, that is not always true. For myself, I ovulate 21-23 days into my cycle (your cycle begins on the first day of your period--that is day 1) and have an approximately 32 day cycle.

Did you notice if you had a lot of cervical fluid (discharge) before you had sex and before you were aroused? This is a good indicator of ovulation. If it was thick and lots of it (like egg white) then there's a good chance you were fertile.

You can get pregnant up to 5 days after you last had sex--that's how long the sperm can survive (I got pregnant 3 days after, with my last pregnancy).

However, there is nothing you can do to find out except to wait for your next period. You could go to Planned Parenthood if it's been less than 72 hours from sex and ask for emergency contraception. However, if it's been more than 3 days, it's just time to wait and see.

You can test in about 12 days, accurately. There is a 25% chance of getting pregnant in a healthy, fully fertile couple, each month.

Not using protection is how you get pregnant, however you can also use birth control pills and condoms and still get pregnant. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise. What you DO need to do now, is get a pap smear and STD tests in about 4-6 months and then every year for the rest of your life. you think pregnancy is bad? HPV shows no signs on a man and even if you got the 'shot', not only is it ineffective to protect you, but it only protects against a few strains and you're still at risk for many other STDs.

Stress can delay your period, by the way, causing a 'pregnancy scare'. So can illness, losing your virginity, a change in diet, etc.

You can get pregnant on your period, although if you only had sex the day or a few days before your period was about to start, your chances of getting pregnant are very low. This is because for a preganncy to be maintained, typically, a woman needs at least a 10 day luteal phase (the period between ovulation and menstruation) for the zygote to implant into the uterus. Most women have a 14 day LP. Your LP does not change from month to month without help from hormones, herbs or medicine.

What that means is that you CAN be pregnant, but you probably aren't, if you were expecting your period within the next few days (less than a week).

If you were that close to having your period I doubt you are pregnant, it is probably stress related. Sometimes, sex at that time of month can cause your period to be delayed, it used to happen to me all the time. And if it was just last week you are not going to be having symptoms of pregnancy like sore breasts just yet take a test you'll quit stressing, and more than likely start your period the next day if not before.

Anytime you have unprotected sex you are taking a chance of getting pregnant. The only way to tell is taking a test or going to the doctor. Sometimes periods will do that to you for no odd reason r it could be stress. If you arent ready for the responsibilities of what goes along with sex than please dont do it.

It is hard to tell. Your symptoms may be in your head. Are you late for your period? If you are, take a pregnancy test. You shouldn't have unprotected sex because you will get pregnant eventually. When you are young, you are more fertile. Please use a condom the next time you have sex. This way, you won't get pregnant or get something worse like HIV or a million other things. You need to think with your head because you are asking for trouble. I wish you well.

don't worry and don't stress girl! it will only make your symptoms worse. first calm down and take a pregnancy test! it could just be PMS symptoms (along with stress) that are acting out because your body/mind THINKS you're pregnant. if you are really really worried go to planned parenthood and explain your situation. is your period late or do you think you've missed it? just take a test! it will help you know for sure!

You should be using birth control or a condom if you are afraid of getting pregnant. You have to be more responsible.
