WU means you didn't complete the requirements of the class and that you did not officially withdraw from the class. It is treated as an F and is not an incomplete (an Incomplete can be made up).

The usual reason is someone enrolls in a class, goes a few times, maybe turns in a little work, but then never goes back but doesn't withdraws.

If you're not expecting this grade, talk to the professor right away. Sometimes mistakes happen and you could have been marked with someone else's grade. If you didn't do the work for the class or didn't make satisfactory attendance then this is probably your grade.
