I'm 11 and to be honest, what I really would looove for Christmas is an iphone/ipad/ipod. Basically any Apple product. In Claire's accessories they sell cool things for Christmas which I always enjoy getting. I know this might sound like very lame but I always ask for books! Just putting it out there lol! :)
Candy is also a good choice cause it's irressistable to most people. Maybe a camera, stuffed toys, anything to do with hair and jewlery. Right now, loom bands are what a lot of people have but it depends on what type of person you are, she may not like them.... any CDs or DVDs that she likes. And that's all I can think of hope I helped! :-)

Mine wanted the Dreamlife Superstar game, Uggs, a Northface purse, Nintendo games (whatever Nintendo she has), costume gemstone jewelry (Target has some cute inexpensive things, the pink gemstone is in if you don't know her birthstone), purses or wallets, fuzzy socks or socks with tiny little stuffed animal heads on the heels (Wal-mart and department stores have them), games, and clothes or PJs from Abercrombie or Old Navy type stores and stuff from Bath and Body works. My daughter thinks Hannnah Montana and High School Musical are out, but she is influenced by an older sister, lol.
Go to the mall to a store and pick up something and ask a girl like the one you are buying for, "tell me the truth, do you like this?" She usually not only will give her opinion, but she will grab a better item if she doesn't like what you have chosen. :)

Some people have answered like High School Musical things or Milly --- lol duno her last name anyway my point is I have an 11 year old friend and she HATES all of those things, You should really say what her personality is, If shes a girly girl that loves pink get her High School Musical stuff but if shes more a tomboy get her an itunes music card or a cd :) Hope I helped.
