I usually set it at 62 during the day (when I'm gone and the sun comes in and helps heat the house) and 68 at night.

Set it at your comfort zone. No one knows your house the way you do, you might set it at 62 and feel ok yet 68 would be the best for everyone else. Remember lowering the temp. durning the day and then turning the stat up at night really doesn't save money, keep the temp. at a set temp. will do the job. Reasons for this is say you have your stat set at 64 and durning the day the sun warms your house to 68-70, your heater isn't going on, yet as the temp goes down in the late hours of the day the heater will only go on to maintain your set temp. If you live where it's cold day or night, again set the thermostat to your own comfort zone.

64 in the winter. Dont turn it off, if it becomes unnecessary, I just move the thermostat to 60. Yes, my house is cold, but my bill is almost affordable.

70 when I'm here, 67 at night. I bought one of those programmable thermostats and it saves me about $40 a month

We own a Siberian Husky who is an indoor dog, so we keep it pretty cool in the house -- about 62 degrees or so. If we get chilly we just curl up on the couch with a light blanket.

64 degrees in the daytime and 62 at nite. Wear a sweater, save the planet.

When I lived up north it was 62 degrees. We wore sweaters and bundled up for bed. Oil bill was 300.00-400.00 a month for a 7 room house.
