One of the most over rated players in NFL history. He was nothing more than a Miami and sports medium hype. If you'd have watched him for a whole game and knew something about football you wouldn't have fallen for the myth. Pro Bowls mean nothing. It's a popularity contest. Fans submit more than 50% of the vote.

Because Sean Taylor was one of the best at his position this year.
I do think Fred Taylor should have been selected too!!

It was a touching gesture, but as I said in another question, they should have extended the roster from 52 to 53 and included him that way by taking the next most voted player. I think selecting a substitute later goes to cheapen whatever player takes that spot to honor Taylor. I don't think the way the NFL handled it was the best way to honor him. Tearing down someone else to lift another up is never right.

It is a show of respect for a fallen player.I understand that some might be mad about this but it is a very big thing and don't forget player and coach votes add in more then fan votes do.

Just shows that the Pro Bowl is a total joke. Fred Taylor's never been in, yet a dead guy gets in. Yea I know he died, it's sad, boohoo, whatever. Reggie Nelson of the Jaguars had a better season than Sean Taylor.

Because he was having a good season.

Also, one doesn't affect the other. They were completing for different positions.

Taylor made it because he's dead.
