I prefer the word frugal. If I don't need it, I don't buy it. When you get older, you accumulate a lot of "things" that you once thought you needed but have become more like clutter. I get a very small pension of my own that I spend on clothing and an allowance for my grandaughter. I am low maintenance and don't need much for myself.

I'm very frugal.
I only shop sales, never pay regular price if I can help it *smiles*
Coupon clipper for the groceries, I don't leave home without them.
I use coupon codes online for just about everything from airline tickets to shoes.
I wouldn't say I'm a cheapskate, because I like quality products but at affordable prices.

I buy what I need, but I don't just rush out and get the first thing I see, I go everywhere, check all the sales, find out what's available and hunt for the best price I can get. I sit pretty tight with my money, I don't have any to waste. I suppose I am a moderately frugal person.

I would say for myself, Moderate, as we age, we do not have the needs for clothes we needed in the workplace, we can look neatly dressed in the same suit we wore last time we went out, for men, a change of shirt and tie, for a woman a diffrent scarf or blouse can change a whole outfit, we buy what we enjoy in reading, go on trips according to our means and settle into a more moderate lifestyle.

I was a big spender when I worked and had a good income.
Now I am moderate with an occasional impulse buy. I have to work on that.

I went without for most of the time when the children were growing up, and I didn't mind one bit, but now I only have myself to consider I find I still feel a little strange when buying myself things, I still end up feeling,"oh, I could have bought so and so this, or so and so that"....lol...but I love to get nice things for my home, in moderation.....sorry for rambling....Moderate is my answer...lol

Most of my life I never had enough $ to make ends meet. I tried to save as much as I could, it put us into our first house. I managed to invest some each month... I lost it all in the divorce, or I should say he cashed it in and spent every dime of it. I went without so I could give to the ones I loved. So, now, when I see something I want, I buy it. I don't want much, I'm very easy to please. I was pleased as punch this last summer, I found curtains 70% off and put up matching curtains in my entire house! First time ever! Pretty sad huh... so I'm a bit of a spendthrift... cautious... but I've learned that it's OK to want some things in this life... I always wanted a baby doll, you know the ones that look real, so many little girls have such wonderful dolls. In fact I mentioned dolls to someone here this last week... she didn't seem to appreciate my interest in her doll collection at all and was just a little rude... anyway, I went on line last night and ordered myself a collector baby doll! Silly, I know... but what the hey! It's just one of those things!

Frugal. $20 can last me 2 weeks or more. Maybe that's TIGHT not FRUGAL? he he
Of course that's above my normal needs...food/gas, etc. Just for spending. Even out of that $20 comes an occasional 50¢ Jordan Bridge toll.
