People will still ask stupid questions like so what kind of Chinese are you? Japanese? Korean? or Chinese?
Why is America so clueless about East Asians. Do they hate them or what? They love the girls, but seem to love to bash the guys.

how again with the stereotypes. you are just labeling all asians together aren't you. some of them are just as American as the rest. some shall we say are rednecks. bet you'd never expected that.

WOW, man where are you living?? They sound like a bunch of rude jackasses!!!! Sorry man I really am that's just mean. I think most Americans are kinda stupid about Asian people and culture but not because they are stupid. I mean think about it, what if any history have you ever had on China, Japan, Korea, ? I am willing to bet none if you have gone to an American public school. That's because 1, public schools such and all they teach is what is politically correct even colleges are getting bad about it now. Anyway, high school's teach about Europe and American history but never teach any Asian history, heck they even teach more Middle Eastern history than they do Asian history. All the Asian history most people get is the Opium Wars and Japan's involvement in World War II, oh and some on the Vietnam War. So you see we are failing to educate people about,....well half of the world. It's sad but it is very true. I mean unless one is taught something they will never know or understand much about it. So I blame the schools in America they are not doing their job as is usual now.

America is not clueless. You are meeting some ignorant people. Especially if you are under 25. These are the people who didn't think it was important to pay attention in school, never watch the news or informational programs, do not read, and can't get the cell phone off their ears. They make life annoying for all of us. Just read this category and see all the stupid questions about which nationality of girl is hotter. How intelligent do you think these people are?

Well maybe if just for ONCE asians would stick up for themselves like black people and hispanics do they wouldn't be having this problem. Sometimes ignoring people is not the best approach. And yeah the guys like asian girls but it's only because of the stereotypes on them which ironically is why they don't like asian boys. Asians need to stick up for themselves already.

We have people who are Chinese that run a restaurant near us and we love to go eat there and I have never heard of them being called anything in a negative way. No customer gets after them for being Chinese. We just love the good food and the people they hire are happy with them. So those that hate them have not really met the nice people they are.

it sounds so ignorant for someone to ask what kind of chinese are you and to assume that china is a continent and represents other asian countries. it would be like saying to a white person what kind of russian are you? british or irish?
