The article basically alleges that the Dolans are looking to buy out the shares of the Knicks they don't already own, thereby taking the team private. And what better/cheaper way to do that than to first devalue the franchise as much as possible.

Makes sense to me. At least, it's the best explanation I've heard so far why Isiah has not been fired. What do you think?

Dolan is a punkass beeyatch! If this is true, he should be tarred and feathered, and then dumped in the middle of Central Park!

I don't see that argument expressed in the Post article, and in any event, if losing hurts the other (smaller) Cablevision owners a little it hurts the Dolan family a LOT! So...I think the reason Young Jimmy Dolan keeps Isiah around is that firing him would force YJD to admit he'd mismanaged the Knicks. And he doesn't want to do that. And, although there are a lot more no-shows now than there were a year ago, the Knicks are still selling lots of tickets at the Garden. Hopefully things change soon...but YJD and Cablevision have put up with this garbage (Isiah) for 4 years now, change may not happen soon...D

Isiah is Dolan's partying pal. Thomas is doing to the Knicks what he did to the CBA. But as long as fans have MSG at near capacity, the two late-night chums will continue to run this storied franchise deep into a landfill.

Dolan should go back to the local bar with his 'band' and give up the Knicks...time to get rid of Isaiah too. Let Herb Williams coach. Isaiah has lost the respect of his players

Dolan is an idiot who cant admit he is an idiot for ever hiring Isiah Thomas for anything GM and Coach included.

The owner has to have someone to take the fall. If they change coaches and management and still get the same results then there's no one else to blame but the owner. (We can't blame the players and their lackluster efforts, now can we?)
