........fridge and not in the freezer?

A light bulb in the freezer would not last as the gas inside the bulb would go from freezing to hot and may burst. There are some freezers that have a bulb but has a deflector plate to protect from bursting.

so you won't see the freezer burned stuff in there. My fridge has a light in the freezer.

Well mine has both but the one in the fridge just blew so now I have one in the freezer and not in the fridge. Boo Hoo!!!! :)

maybe because light gives heat and having a light in the freezer could possibly stop the food from freezing properly.
