In my family we don't use to give presents or believe in Santa Claus because we are Catholic so to me the meaning of christmas is a Roman celebration to remember the birth of Jesus so this is a time to feel closer to God and Jesus and thanks God for all the good things and blessing he has gave me/us and why not? also for the bad moments and errors I learn a lot from them.

Fond memories of childhood days of not being able to
sleep because I knew Santa was coming....at least till
I found out there wasn't a Santa but my parents.
Still they made it very special for me.
I used to believe it was about the birth of Christ but I have
been told that he was born on a different day. Sept 11th is
what I was told.
So now, christmas is about whatever my family and I want to
do on this day!
I love the colored lights and the good food and family time.
The presents they are nice but it feels good to give too! :)

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, God the Son.

The angel said to them,

"Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger."

And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying:

"Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."

(Luke 2:10-14)

With love in Christ.

The remembrance of our lord and savior Jesus. The true spirit of Christmas was to celebrate Christ's brith and to remember what such an insignificant significant event can do.

(Although I must admit I do enjoy the presents to)

I day to pass presents. Really thats what see it as for myself.
Now what I see it as for other people is a day that is so important they MUST push and hurt people to get a certain object. People have just made christmas into an object insted of a feeling.

A time to spend with family and friends, it's not often many people get to do that anymore. It's a time that brings everyone together.

For me its a time to spend with people you do not get to see that often. It is also about a time to put oneself aside for a day and help and give to others. (Its not religious at all for me)
