Your hygiene is definitely important most especially in the food and medical industry
But your religion other than making an assumption on your upbringing and background which may or may not affect your ability or willingness to perform has not any importance what-so-ever

Prospective employers can't ask you any questions about your religious beliefs and you don't have to tell them anything. It's against the law.
They don't need to know anything about your personal hygiene. However, if someone has a lack of good hygiene there are usually provisions in some companies' policies that deal with this subject. Certain jobs require it such as food service, the medical field, etc.

your religion has nothing to do with your ability to do a job and any employer who makes hiring decisions based on an applicants religion or whether he conforms to "values" is breaking the law and needs to be charged with discrimination.
unless your actually applying for the position of preacher, etc..
as for hygene, if people need to ask if you bathe you have a problem and they're right to ask you to wash. i wouldnt want to work all day with someone who's nasty.
