carbon hydrogen oxygen please help!! lab science work do not know.

Thy are equal. For example,

CH4 + 2O2 ===> CO2+ 2H2O

Count the number of C's, H's, and O's on each side. They should come out equal.

You must have the same number of each element on both sides of the equation. If you have 6 oxygen on the right, you must have 6 oxygen on the left.
