1. Flagellated cells create currents in the water that brings food in contact with body cells. Some cnidarians also have ameboid type cells that engulf food particles.
2. (Three things in common?)
a) Roundworms and many flatworms are parasites.
b)They have longitudinal muscles giving them body movement.
c)
3.Roundworm: "tube-within-a-tube" body plan; round body without segments.
Flatworm: Has mouth, but no digestive tube going from head to anus. Body is flat; some have segments.
4.The spicules are a rigid supportive structure. Biting into these would be like trying to eat a cactus.....ouch! Not so much with the spongin which is more flexible.
5.Slow moving animals and sessile (attached) animals typically reproduce asexually because it is difficult or almost impossible for them to find a mate of the opposite sex.
