lay paper towels over the candle wax, and iron the paper towel, it will absorb the wax.

use a putty knife with a clean edge so it will not scratch the wood scrape away all the wax you can

then use an old towel you dont want any more

heat up your iron to the cotton setting

dampin the towel with cold water wring out the excess water

place the towel over the wax spot and apply the iron to the towel over the wax hold it there a couple minutes

it will steam up big time

that steam is loosening the wax and the towel as it dries out will absorb it like a sponge

after a couple minutes pull back the iron wait a minute and pull back the towel

if it is not all up off the wood and in the towel do it again with a different spot of the damp towel

ice cubes, freeze it scrap it up.
