Yeah well, i think there is a problem, my laptop is brand new, and i'm getting a run time error in Half Life 2 Episode 1, so i tried to check my frame rate, and if I could change it. I found out I couldn't change it, so i thought it might be a driver error... So i don't really know what to do :D

Hi. Best advice? If everything works, don't mess with it. Updated drivers fix problems and if you do not have any, well...

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

From your desktop, right click My Computer.
Click on properties
then click the hardware tab.

From there click Device Manager

Then, for example, to check your video card driver date, click the + sign on the left to expand it, then right click on your video card and click properties, then click on the driver tab, there will be a listing of the date of the driver.

To know if it is current or not, visit the manufacturers web site to see if there is a newer one available.

I think windows will automatically detect it (if the setting for automatic update is ON) when you connect to the internet...and then from thereon, many sites offer driver updates for FREE.. :)
