a binder and pencil case like high school? or does everyone take running notes on a laptop?
please be as detailed as you can, since you may have gotten used to the little things that are now new to me.

It just depends on what you want to take your notes on, some use notebook and pen, others use a notebook computer. It is very useful because it can convert your writing to printed text.

Bookbag with my book (depending on the class--if they provide powerpoint notes, i take those to a place like Kinkos and have them printed out and binded), notebook specifically for that course, pens, a mini tape recorder which i rarely use

Notebook, paper, pencil, pens, lead, notes on laptop, water and that's about it.

More and more people take notes on laptops than they did in previous years since most people can type faster on their laptops than they can handwrite.
