I think I was about 9 years old when my mom told me she was having a baby and couldn't afford to get me as many gifts and explained that she bought the gifts not Santa. However, working in the school system I have come to find out that most of my first graders do not belive in Santa and know that parents buy them gifts.

So you're telling me whenever my dad got angry for Santa not showing up, it was all an act?
Honestly, I think I was probably 3 or 4 when I was told Santa wasn't real.

Excuse me, but I'm 57, and while I did 'believe Santa wasn't real' for a few years, I soon learned that Santa IS REAL as long as there is ONE SINGLE CHILD who BELIEVES in him alive on this Earth (or anyone HUMAN is alive, since we may not all live on Earth soon) ... besides which, I am married to Santa (proven by some gansters when we were shopping one day ... they saw him, and all turned into very well behaved five year old boys as long as we were in the same store).
