At either end , or along the length of the cable there should be an expandable ftting used to adjust the free play in the cable.
Loosen the lock nut make your adjustment and re -tighten.

Adjust it to do what?
Take the slack out of the cables? - remove the fuel tank, loosen each cable's lock nuts and adjust them.
