He's running on the republican ticket, has a huge online following, and is raising tons of money. I like his philosophy of constitutional adherence but I don't want ot waste my vote if he's considered a longshot. What say you?

I say this.I am voting for him because I believe in everything he says about the Government. They have been taking us `to the cleaners' for a long time. They are out of control and make up their own rules. We are losing our rights day by day.
Homeland security is just another way of `tracking' us. Our `monetary system stinks. We make our own[counterfeit ]money and are borrowing more money from China. To me Freedom means just that and I don't feel free anymore. So if enough people like you and I see this happening and vote for him I think he does have a good chance of winning. I have been waiting for someone like him that has the guts to try to stop `Big Brother' and get our rights back. We may not get another chance.

I think all the supporters were watching the CNN Glenn Beck interview, educating themselves when you asked this question, and the non-ron's were twiddling their thumbs, waiting to jump. I am pretty sure he has a shot, and has a grassroots campaign that is second to NONE.

200,000 supporters have donated over time, and many many more will vote in the primaries. You might even have seen signs and bumper stickers about him. I'll bet it outnumbers every other candidate so far. The Republican field is very divided over who to support, w/o the laser like focus they had when Bush ran with polling in the 45% range. The field is wide open, with mostly mediocre, flipfloppy and flawed candidates.

He only has a shot, if people like yourself think he does, the media cannot be allowed to make that decision for you.

My personal experience has been that everyone who investigates his full record comes to admire his views and his ability to stand by his convictions. If we let the press tell us who to pick, we have wasted our vote. If we investigate the candidates, we find only one that has a truly uniting message: Restore the Constitution. I think the message is powerful enough to give him a chance.

He is very principled and honest. He has vast fan following among young people. If they convert their fan following in to votes his candidature may become very formidable. All are keeping their fingers crossed and are not knowing what to guess about his success, while conceding simultaneously that he has been very successful in rising money and dedicated , ever increasing on line following.

If people vote the way they feel in their mind and heart they should, he will. But, if people let others confuse them and cast doubt upon what they feel is right, then they will be minipulated into doing the will of others.

Yes, Ron Paul has as good chance.
Don't let media influence your vote. Polls and "popular opinion" are useful, but certainly are not the final word.
The leading dems and repubs are counting on the voters defaulting, so don't do it!
It is not over until it is over.
I say go with your convictions regardless.
I voted for a default candidate once because I bought into the lie that my candidate did not have a chance. Needless to say that was during the days of Ross Perot(I know.....)......

I think the Bush Adm (both Sr. and Jr.) have already sold out America beginning with NWO, and leaving us with NAU and SPP, and who knows what else. Even the most honest man or woman will have a hard time cleaning up the mess. (And no, I am not a conspiracy theorist groupie), but nothing shocks me anymore.

So.... I would advise you to stick with your convictions regardless. It is the one thing no one can take from you.

Besides, this election will have a surprising outcome.

To me, wasting your vote would be voting default.

I don't think he'll have a chance running on the Republican ticket. I'm voting for Paul nevertheless because I respect him. The other Republicans- probably Giuliani, will be on that ticket.

The problem is if everybody says "I don't want to waste my vote", then he actually won't have a chance. I'm not a supporter of his but I am a supporter of choice and voice. Don't let the polls tell you how to vote. Let them know how you feel anyway by casting it the way you want. What if the polls are wrong? The only wasted vote is the one not exercised.

It looks like people with common sense have finally decided to show up to Y! Answers! Ron Paul, for all his good points and bad, has zero chance of winning the Primaries, much less the presidency. The only people who believe otherwise are his rabid lemming supporters, wearing their tin-foil hats and threatening to rebel against the US if he doesn't win. Ironically enough, the only supporters of his who aren't crazy are his White Nationalist buddies, and not being associated with their lot is a good enough reason to pass on this guy.

If you are looking for a candidate who is serious about responsible change, consider voting for Obama. Otherwise, you might as well stay home - voting for Ron Paul is a waste of gas, time, and money.

About as much chance as Ross Perot and Ralph Nadar had. You see how far they got. A candidate that far out of the main stream is not electable. Don't know why? But's it's always been that way and I've been around a while.
