the real stuff isn't even legal in Paris where it was born. So no, probably not. I'm sure crack will be legal here before absinthe

No, my friend... that crap will booger you up! It has LSD-like properties and can have a lasting impact on your nervous system.
I tried to get an old boyfriend a bottle for christmas.... whew, it's hard to import and there are warnings all over the place. You can buy a toned-down version, though.

No. It has a hallucinogenic drug in the alcohol...and they are illegal in America. And have been for a long, long time. I don't see this changing in the near future.
