She wants you to imagine that you are a kid who gets sent back in time to right when beowulf arrives. This kid then writes a letter to whoever he or she wants describing the religion, culture, and customs in the kingdom and then the kid writes about what might change now that beowulf is there.

Ok, what you need to do is put yourself in the story. Literally. Just imagine that you've been sent back to the time of Hrothgar's Kingdom. An imaginative letter should include several details connectied to the story's main theme/idea. You could write just about anything as long as its based on what you've read so far. I would focus on the "tragic time". Why was it so tragic and for whom? You could write down dialogues between you and "the people". They should be from different social ranks so that the reader will have a broader understanding of the Kingdom's political and economic condition. I haven't read the book but I know there has be at least 2 or 3 "main events" that would explain the culture and/or faith system of the Kingdo Just remember that these details should reflect the story's tragic significance. Good luck writing your paper.

Say you've been chosen to go back in time to the days of Beowulf...you have decided to write a letter to your mom or your friend, and tell them all about the culture, costumes, and faith system of hrothgar's kingdom during such a tragic time.
End the letter with what you've learned about the hero beowulf, and what the king and his people are hoping for.

The assignment description is actually an outline, so take it apart and put it in outline form which will be much easier to work with. You'll need headings: What's happening now -Culture - Popular customs - Religion - Beowulf's character - King's hopes & expectations - People's hopes and expecations. After you've filled in the "blanks" then write out the whole thing in letter form.

The teacher is being pretty detailed, so I am not sure what you aren't understanding exactly. Basically she wants you to pretend like you are a part of the kingdom, and write something similiar to what might have been like a journal entry at that time. Describe what is going on in your life, and the lives of those around you (daily life activities- ie. culture of the civilization). Then use what you know from reading the story to talk about the arrival of Beowolf and how that is exciting because of the monster you fear. Use specific details about the monster, and about Beowolf. YOur teacher just wants to know that you have read the book and understand whats going on in it.

basically make it deep. those are continually the right poems. Write approximately any issues or some thing you concern in existence. Your love existence, destiny, kin, or maybe your inner maximum techniques and emotions. Even some particularly good poems are those that hook up with different individuals's lives and how they sense. they might hear on your poem and say, "it is precisely how i've got been feeling approximately (this or that)" for people who don't understand lots approximately poetry, i might first (it is how i take advantage of to do it) % your subject remember. Then i might write a catalogue containing words with reference to the subject remember you chosen. After that, basically initiate writing your poem. have exciting with it! pick a student in hrogthar's court from the story. pretend that you are this student, and are in his time, place, and with his thoughts and emotions. pretending that you are him, write a letter as you would imagine he would write it in his circumstances and in that letter include: his thoughts/observations about the culture, customs, and faith system. end the letter with: what you learned about bewoulf. what a king hopes and expects from his people that he rules. what the people hope nd expect from the king they are under.

i hope that helped! good luck! =]

She wants you to act like you are in the story. To become a character and write about what is going on in ''your life'' but she means whats going on in the story and how it is living in those times and stuff like that.

Sort of a Dear mom letter, 'guess what', letter back home. But set back in that time. 'I have to keep this short as my candles burning down...' Sort of thing. 'And there's a big dragon attacking...'
