I first went to college after high school, and I got a 4.0 in keggers and a 1.4 in academics. I ended up dropping out, but I went back 3 years ago, and I graduated Summa *** Laude and with President's Honors just this past Saturday! I have a 4.0 overall, and I am now a certified teacher.

I don't recommend not taking college seriously, but if you struggle or...worse case...get kicked out, make sure you go back at some point. I appreciated my education much more at the age of 28 than I did at 18, and it is better late than never.

Good luck to you!!!!!!

FOCUS...it's a lot more fun to have fun after you graduate and get a job. You'll have your own place, have more money, etc.

If you screw up before you graduate, you'll have a crappy job, no money, and not much fun for the rest of your life. Ugh.

I earned a BS in Nutrition, then went on for a master's in nutrition. I became a nutritionist / registered dietitian. Everything worked out great. Now I'm pregnant and not working, but I was able to meet and marry a great guy who makes a great living, and we're not worried about finances, even though a baby is on the way because WE BOTH WORKED HARD IN COLLEGE.

I do have friends that had more fun in college, but they're losers now (I know that sounds mean, but I have to be honest about this topic).

Good luck to you! Be wise!

I was focused in college. I was paying for it!! I couldn't afford to fail a class! I'm glad I didn't goof off and party like some people because I would not have made it as far as I did now. It pays off in the end. Don't get me wrong I went to a party or two but my work was all done first.

Focus of course. Why would I waste my hard earned money to party? I'm still in college, will graduate in May and I will be a teacher in August so I think things will be better than expected.

Mostly I worked. I didn't really focus on the schoolwork, I just wanted my degree. I got decent grades, mostly A's and B's. After college, all my experience resulted in a good job working for a legislator and then in the field of tax law. My degree's in Finance and I use the stuff I learned on the job, but not much of what I learned in school, it's just a piece of paper that a lot of jobs want you to have. I think if my experience and degree were more closely related that would have been better. It took me about 6 months to find a good "after college" sort of job and those were 6 very frustrating months. But it all worked out okay I guess.

I didn't really party but I did focus more at certain points in my college career. I "dropped out" twice because I was trying to follow a dream that may not come true.

I did both. I partied and had a great time, but I focused, too, and got a co-op job that got me hired after I graduated. Believe it or not, with moderation on the party part, a student can do both. Good luck, sweetie. Spread the word!

I focused, just because I had nothing better to do...I dont like going to parties. I'm doing fine at the moment. Not as good as I wanted, but not bad either.

Partied. I focused around mid-term and finals. I'm lucky though, I test really well. I work for the government as an engineer now.

Think about it if you study in college it helps you for the rest of your life. If you party it will be there for a short time! Do your studies 1st and then you P.A.R.T.Y
