I am just 17 and started periods last september (06). they are quite irregular like my 2nd was 3 months after first, the cycles are different lenghts, missed one earlier this year etc. now i havent had one for 2 months and not sure yet until this weekend or next week if i am to have it.. sorry about the details but p.s i haven't had sex since my last period as that is not a regular activity for me but did have it before my last 2..only once though, where the 1st after that came 2 weeks late..but my bf used a condom and pulled out before he ejaculated so i'm pretty sure it's not that.
but please say your opinions and why you think i am having irregular periods?

They can take a few years to settle down - as long as you havent had sex in between you are ok, ust wait and they will regulate soon - if not go to the docs as they can help to regulate them.

It is normal for girls our age to have irregular periods like that, especially if you only started having them a little over a year ago. They start to stablize after a few years, when your hormones aren't going as crazy. You are still normal, but if it really concerns you, talk to your mom and have her take you to the doctors about it. Some birth controls can help regulate your periods.

It can take the body about a year or two for the periods to regulate themselves but I would recommend letting your mom know as well so that she can help you keep an eye on it as well as your doctor when you have your next check-up.
