i think i like diana best. i would probably prefer an updated version pronounced Dee-On-Ah. my next choice is Dorothy. it's a good name for an older woman but for a younger girl Dotty, Dee, or Dory are fine. the boys name i like is jason. i still dont hear it much and its nice. I dont like alex so much. contrary to an earlier response i think "alex" names are waaaay over used for girls and have lost that special something in boys names. Sheila sounds like a **** and what the heck is shervin? i'm sorry. hope i helped a little.

Diana for a girl, Alex for a boy.
Diana is a classy and gorgeous name. It's not common and it's just really lovely. It's sophiscated and... it's just a great name!! It's modern, and it'll work on a little girl or a grown woman.
I'm not crazy about Dorothy because it seems really old-fashioned... that's just my opinion. Not the name you'll see on little girls.
Sheila seems lower-class to me, because it's a slang word for girl in some country. Perhaps, Stella would appeal to you? Stella Diane would be really nice :)
Alex is a lovely name, for a boy or a girl. It's modern, cute and just a really nice name. It's also my cousin's name :)
Jason is a nice name too, but every Jason I've known was always a bit... odd. I've never had much luck with Jasons, so I'm not crazy about the name.
Shervin is just odd, and seems really "nerdy". Maybe Alvin instead?

Dorothy: Too old-fashioned for my tastes.
Diana: Pretty, but again a bit old-fashioned
Shervin: Strange. I don't like it.
Sheila: Australian slang for 'Girl'. Ehh- no thanks.
Jason: A fine name for a boy.
Alex: Again, a nice name for a boy.

I like the name Diana the best for a girl. I find it so classic, beautiful, and elegant.
For a boy I like Alex or, rather, Alexander. Yes, it's common, but it's such a strong sounding name with a strong meaning ("defender of mankind").
