You undo the square roots

(sq root of 4x+1)^2 multiplied by -(square root of x-2)^2
(4x + 1)(-x - 2)
= -4x^2 - 8x - x - 2
= -4x^2 - 9x - 2

Put to standard form and move everything to the other side because you want x^2 always positive

0 = -4x^2 - 9x - 2
4x^2 + 9x + 2 = 0
(x + 8)(x + 1) = 0
x = -8
x = -1
