My dad just said that any map can be drawn with only 4 colors, and the same color will not be touching itself. (I.E. There is no regional political map where 5 things intersect) Can anyone prove this wrong?

Most of the time, your dad is right. Only four boundaries form a point. Here is a map of Antarctica that shows territorial claims by several different countries Take a look and show it to your dad.

Look a political map of the US. Several states make contact with more than four other states. Texas makes contact with five states and Mexico.

Also look at china it has 15 or so bordering countries
