Are you reading the book by Mark Haddon that is supposed to be representative of a boy with Asperger syndrome? The boy in the book does represent some of the difficulties that people with Asperger syndrome cope with every day but is not an accurate reflection of someone who has this condition. Asperger syndrome is an autistic spectrum disorder. Because it is on a spectrum no two people will ever have exactly the same difficulties so he seems to have just generalised the boys behaviour. Having said that it is a fairly decent book and does represent some of the struggles these people face.

Because the boy in the story is autistic.
I read that book recently.
He has many things that follow the lines of red=good and yellow=bad.
