Yes, bra fitting is creepy, but then again when anyone you don't know is measuring your body its creepy.

For most ladies this will be an uncomfortable experience and that is why the salesperson is forward. It is to help you overcome that feeling so she can make a sale. The most important thing is that you have a bra that fits well now. People get into a rut and not think if there body is changing shape and stay with the same size. Many women wear cups that are too small and it is very uncomfortable for them and when a salesperson ask if there bra is fits well and reply no they learn they need a larger size and the outcome is positive.

Mine was ok, the lady left me on my own in the changing room and knocked on the door whenever she found some more bras that she felt would work.
Some people avoid it for years on end, I was initially very hesitant to go for a fitting because I didn't want to take my top off or bra but I kept mine on and she said I could have kept my top on too if it made me comfortable. My lady was quite nice, which was lucky.
Point being that you were very brave to go along with it in the first place! *Laughs* Be proud :)
I wouldn't have if my mum hadn't pushed me into doing it, yet ironically she won't do it herself. So yeah, loads of women won't but some do. At least your wearing something comfortable now too, look on the positive side!
But yes, I can see how perhaps a random lady walking up to you and asking if your bra is comfy can be creepy *Laughs*
Don't worry about it, it's their job at the end of the day and if you don't like something that they do, tell them because I'm sure they get told alot by most women, it's the nature of the job. You're not the only one to feel uncomfortable, so don't worry :)

I went into Victoria Secret and almost every worker asked if I needed sized. It was very weird. I felt like they all wanted to feel me up. haa.
I let one because I was curious if I wore the right size and I was actually not. But after that the sales girls kept knocking on the change room door asking if I was fine or needed help and I'm 20. I've been wearing bras for at least 10 years, I'm more than capable of putting them on.
I'll never do it again....it was just creepy!
Also the bras I bought really aren't that much comfortable than an $8 one from wal mart....but you pay for the name not the comfort.

It is uncomfortable because it isn't a normal experience, but realize that the sales clerk has helped lots of women find good bras. The end result is just the fact that they are helping just like they would help with anything else. Bra shopping is hard. It takes forever and to have a clerk run and get different sizes so you don't have to get dressed again is a lucky thing to have. Hope you enjoy your bras. I used to do bra fits and you don't have to take off your current bra. Actually it is easier to fit if you leave the current bra on.

yes i got "fitted" about 6 months ago.
the girl in this new shop dragged me out the back to fit me and stuff then proceded to tell me for about 5 minutes that half the shop was on sale.... but not to bother looking through that stuff because it wouldnt fit me. (thanks for wasting my time)
but the good thing was i was wearing a 14c but im actually a 10dd! and if you know what its like to actually find a shop with that size and it still being sexy.... its crap.
being a size 10 you should be a a-c cup at most not a dd.
its the one thing that makes me so angry... going bra shopping, cracking the s***s after about an hour and going home with nothing.

Actually it is very normal. We live in a touch adverse society. We are told it is wrong to be touched. Everyone has to stay an arm length away or we perceive it as wrong. The good thing about this is that, even though you were uneasy, you let her fit you. Your breasts will be in better health, along with your back and you already feel better. My suggestion is to hug people more often. We as humans need to be comfortable with ourselves and others. We are intuitive beings and if it was truly a "bad" touch you would know. Kudos's to you for braving the bra world!

It is customary for the fitter to pull and push a bit!
They usually warm their hands up and ask permission to touch you. It is bad practice for anyone to just grab someone without consent and it could be construed as assault under certain conditions.
Warning to all Bra Fitters - warn your client about what you are going to do and get verbal consent first.
If a doctor or nurse gives someone an injection against their will they can be charged with assault.

It shouldnt have been overly uncomfortable....sure you had to take your shirt off and allow her to measure but you dont have anything under there that every other woman doesnt have! Soon you will get used to it- its normal and it helps you have something that fits better. Loads of women are walking around with the wrong sized bra on and its really important that they fit! You dont want boobs down to your knees when your older do you??

well i haven't been fitted before, but im sure it would be... but if you dont like it then maybe you can just pick different sizes out... try to find ones that hold "you" in place and are comfortable at the same time... thats what i do.
