This bleeding (which is called breakthrough bleeding and can act a lot like a period but isn't) can be an indicator of a couple possibilities: infection or a hormone imbalance.

The only way to know for sure what is going on is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think it could be.

Hi Sweetie,
Perhaps this is the oportune time to go on the pill to regulate r period. Girls 13 have to go on it for the same reason, like my niece, she'd flow heavily & it just wudn't stop, the pill corrected it & put her on a reg cycle. Still I think U shud ask r Dr about seeing a GYN, if u haven't already & ask him about testing for (plse write this down) Endometriosis. It's a lining round r uterous that stores too much blood, & at r age I can't think of a reason other than that 4 lengthy periods as that is what I've had for 35 yrs now, & it ended up I being infertile with my husband at the time. Plse have this taken care of, as the earlier they detect it with tests the better. Then they can get u on meds right away. Best of Luck to U. lol

It is probably just Breakthrough bleeding but I would go and see your GYNO just to make sure that you don't anything serious going on.
