You can live with small hernias indefinitely but bigger ones may have to be repaired by surgery. They can cause infections if left untreated.

hernias are repaired, not removed. A hernia is basically a split in muscle tissue. If left untreated, they can be very serious.

Hernia aren't life treating just painful and uncomfortable.

not very serious, it is a simple repair by surgery. it is an organ in a place that it don't belong. like intestines outside the abdominal sack.
