32 teams
4 per division
16 teams per conference
16 games in 17 weeks
each team gets week off called "bye week"
2 conferences:
AFC and NFC
4 divisions in each conference
afc south
afc north
afc east
afc west

nfc south
nfc east
nfc west
nfc north

each team plays the other three teams
in their division twice each

at the end of the season the team in each division with the most wins and least losses makes the playoffs

plus 2 wildcard teams "which are the teams that didnt win their division but still have a good record"
make the playoffs too.

so 6 teams from the afc and 6 teams from the nfc make the playoffs

but only 4 teams in each conference play in the first round of the playoffs because the 2 best teams in each conference get a bye week in the first week of playooffs and if you lose in the playoffs your eliminated

the team that wins every game in the playoffs for the nfc

and

the team that wins every game in the playoffs for the afc go to the super bowl.

First, Its AFC and NFC- The NFL includes all the teams- that's the league. All the teams are divided into either the NFC or AFC- those are the conferences. Those conferences are further broken down into 4 team divisions. Every division winner and the best 2 teams after that make their conference playoffs. A team has to win out through its conference playoffs to make it to the Superbowl. That game is the team that wins the AFC vs the team that won the NFC. Its not neccisarly the two best teams. Right now, 4 of the top five teams are in the AFC.

The NFC and AFC are the two conferences. The conferences are divided up into 4 divisions each. At the end of a 16 game schedule they take the winners of each division for the playoffs. that is 4 from each conference. They also take two more teams from from each conference called the wild card. those are the 2 best teams that didn't win a division. They then have a standard tournament bracket to the Superbowl.

There are other parts, like first round byes, and home field advantage.

32 teams....16 in the NFC, 16 in the AFC. a north, south, eat and west division in each conference. 4 teams in each division. the top 4 from the AFC and NFC go to the playoffs, and the ''on the bubble'' teams play each other in wild card if they haven't already clinched it. the the divisional round is played. then there are 4 teams left all together. AFC championship is played, and NFC championship is played. then the winners of those games go to the superbowl.

You should just google Football or NFL and poke around untill your questions are answered. You are asking for a great deal of information and half of the answers you are going to get on this forum are going to be bogus because people will want to mess with you. Seriously just google anything that comes to mind and see what info they have. Super Bowl, AFC, NFC, NFL, Playoffs. It is all on the internet.

Teams play from the beginning of the season, the ones with the best records go to the playoff for their conference "AFC or NFC" then they play and the conference champs meet in the superbowl! Then they go to Hawii for the probowl "all-stars", then they go to the off-season, then training camp at the end of summer, then they do it all over again! It's been that way for years now...............

there are 17 weeks in a reg. season . . . . . all the teams get a week off . . . . . all of the teams are in a division:

nfc: afc:
north "
south "
east "
west "

if you win your division, you get to go to the playoffs . . . . . but there is also the wild card race . . . . . . second 2 best teams out of the conference get a wild card playoff game. . . . . come to think of it, this is gonna take a long time ;) sorry bro, gotta get back to work.
