I have a large wood burner. I have no idea what make it is but i know you can connect stoves up to your heating with some sort of boiler fitted to the back of the stove. I wondered about conectiong the radiator next to the fire. And having a zig zag of pipes across the back of the stove to pick up heat and then send it round the system? IS that possible?

You will need a Dunsley unit to operate and cross connect the stove and boiler, a few alterations are required, to say the least!!

first it is a very good idea to hook up you wood boiler/furnace to the unit you have in your basement but this is a job that you should call a heating tech on because connecting a a wood boiler/furnace to a oil/gas boiler/furnace sounds easy but it's not you are talking about proper size of piping?/duct? location of piping/duct, chimney capability, and the best of all the wiring.(as in regular dump, high limit dump,or the best of all the power failure dump)you have investment into your home so please call in your lic heating tech
