Michigan is almost guaranteed a winning season next year. Heck, they play:
Miami OH (my alma mater)
Toledo
Northworstern
Minnesota
Iowa
That's 5 wins right there...
have one game to schedule (hope it's not Ap State!), so that makes 6
with one win over ND, Wisco, Illinois, Penn St, Mich St., Purdue or O St. that would be 7 wins and a winning season.

The Big Ten is still down. Plus it isn't a reach to say that personell wise they're way ahead of where those example teams were. They'll be good on offense just from that fact. Weak conference and quality players should make them no worse than 10-3 next season. More than 3 losses? I'm not seeing it. Face it, the Big Ten stinks. (Gonna take more than 9-10 wins to win the conference with Ohio State still a power)( unless you mean 9-10 conference wins).

They might need to have some transition years until a mobile QB can be recruited. I think they'll need to go to the Spurrier-Era Florida offense to take advantage of their depth at WR without asking the QB to be a dual-threat.

Their defense is their trouble spot. They need to recruit some cornerbacks in a big way.

It will be a tough year. Not so much because of the offense itself, but it will take time to get the assistants and players in the mindset. If they land this Pryor kid, it could speed things up. (If he lives up to the hype. Anyone ever hear of Jimmy Clausen?). I expect Michigan should be at least 7 wins though. They don't usually play too brutal a schedule, and they have alot of players returning on the Defense, so that should help.

(also, not only are Nwestern and Minnesota always horrible...but look at their coaches. The only exception was Zook, and it took a bit to get going...but now look at him. An d Guess what...he neve went 9-3 in the SEC. In about two to 3 years, Michigan should be a force to reckon with.)

He reported in an interview that his entire philosophy and device replaced into employed, so he intends to alter issues up plenty. I additionally heard that numerous suitable intense college possibilities reported they might upload Michigan to their record if Rodriguez went there...and now he has (which includes Pryor). it is not unreal to think of that the transition next season heavily isn't finished with the aid of skills pool, yet I wager that he recruits heavily this off season and gamers which will in advantageous condition his device. And the WVU bowl interest had no longer something to do with the hiring. He might have nonetheless coached the Fiesta Bowl and then taken over at Michigan. It replaced into different motives for his leaving in the previous the bowl interest. purely watch the Fiesta Bowl. that's what we are transforming into to be. it fairly is going to take some getting used to.

Good thing your not a Michigan fan. because I am THE Ohio State Fan! Anyways I agree wit u. Michigain is going to have alot of trouble with its program switching to a spread offense. The players are going in with a brand new system that they never have done before. They are still going to need the players for their new offense. I feel that they might be ready in like 3-4 years to really get going.

You just named three of the worst programs in the Big Ten. Michigan always has athletes and talent, even if they aren't winning as much as they usually do. I think they'll be ok. 8 or 9 wins.

EDIT: And you also have to keep in mind that Michigan's offense was no where near the straight two back power running team everyone seems to have considered them. They were a balanced, pro style offense that ran a lot of 3 and 4 wides or even 5 wides- even with Carr. It's not like your making a wish bone team into a spread.

Well, they won't do good. But don't worry, they will get a top ten ranking to start the season (for no good reason), and they will maintain a high ranking as they beat really bad teams (for no good reason). Why? Because they are Michigan.

They will be lost like last years easter egg.

The current team isnt built for the spread so they will go through growning pains like most college teams when they switch schemes

Is the spread mayo or mustard? The Richer Rod will not be an immediate savior.
