American women are suppose to be equal to men in terms of rights voting power, right to run for office, join the military. Yet however it seems that many jurors do not think women should be equal for the maximum penalty under the law which is the death penalty. Even when they commit murders such as killing a police officer, murdering a child, murder for hire, and participating in a kidnapping or burglary type murder which jurors are sympathetic to they are never sentenced to death.

I agree it's not fair. When I hear about another woman killing her children then claiming baby blues or some other such nonsense I want to scream.

Generally, there are men involved in these crimes who are seen as more culpable. You haven't provided any specifics, and I cannot think of any. But in my practice, women who are involved in thefts and robberies are many times along for the ride and more often than not are also victims of abusive men. They are still charged and convicted of the thefts and robberies, incidentally.

I also cannot think of anyone who has received the death penalty for murdering a child, can you?

advantageous area step. you be attentive to who i'm conversing approximately ;) ^. look on the Jodi Arias trial lol. it fairly is all inequality. There are too many unethical issues in society to count extensive variety. whether, those are gray factors the place some human beings see black and others white. What does come into view is the reality that if guy or woman F does Y then guy or woman F gets L volume of punishment, then you definately might think of that a guy or woman M that does Y additionally gets L volume of punishment yet in actuality guy or woman M gets L + X volume of punishment. it fairly is fairly sparkling that there is a super disparity. yet once you prefer to SOUND politically splendid then you definately say "properly no you will get L or L + X volume of punishment. whether in case you prefer to BE splendid then you definately might say "properly crime T gets L volume of punishment for somebody yet L volume of punishment shouldn't comprise some punishment".

There has always been a sympathy factor when it comes to harming women in this country. I personally have no problem treating them equal and if they commit the crime giving them the punishment.

There's a perception that women are virtuous, non-aggressive and calm. Whereas men are viewed as blood thirsty, lustful and violent.

As each juror is a separate individual person, you would have to ask each one of them.
