You can't play DVDs on a Nintendo Wii console (there were plans for a premium Wii with DVD playback, but it seems unlikely now as the standard Wii is selling way beyond expectations)
A SD Card is a format of memory card, used on the Wii for storing game saves & accessing digital pictures

SD card is memory storage. Although, the Wii has built-in memory too. The Wii can't play DVDs, but they're may be an add-on on can buy. Good luck finding a Wii.
Salaam.

No, you can't play DVD's on a Wii. A SD card is pretty much a memory card. It can also be used on digital cameras, photo frames, and the like. The Wii does have 512 Mb built in memory for saved games and downloads.

You can't play DVD's or CD's on a Wii.
As for an SD card, it's basically just like a memory card. You are able to save your game data on it. It can also save photo's.

no it doesn't play dvds, the SD card goes into the front, its pretty essential for:
-saving camera memory
-copying computer memory
-and transferring between the two
but not really worth it for the wii.
hope this helped
