I'm not conservative nor am I religious and prefer the seperation of church and state however I'm not bothered by it. Everyone knows he is Christian and a huge part of his image and the seperation of him from the other canidates is his religion. Should it really be an issue that it is in his ad?

It is only a big deal to his detractors because it does distinguish him and because people are liking it. Considering that he can legitimately emphasize his beliefs, due to his years in the ministry sort of takes the pandering issue off the table, in my thinking.

Yes. If you value separation of church and state, the fact that someone is identifying themself as "The Christian Candidate" should set off huge alarm bells. Huckleberry has no respect for people of other religions and even less respect for non-religious people. He's trashed Mormonism. He'll trash you next!

Yes. Christianity is the worlds leading religion... Although it means little to nothing to some people, and it may sound sord of like a racist but for religion, any way, religion is the most important thing in the world to a majority of people. And personally, although im not old enough to vote, when i will be able to, I will take religion into consideration b/c of the religious wars that are going on.... I DO NOT want Barrack Obama in the office, although he is very much so better than any other Democrat.... He is Muslim (yes I know that he claims to be baptist, but if you are raised Muslim, you will not stray from the religion). It has nothing to do with color. And i'm in no way racist. But not meaning any harm or insult to anybody, my opinion and thats all it is, an opinion, is that if anybody but a christian gets into office, as president that is.... The greatest country in the world, will be in the worst 'state of emergency' it has ever incountered.

It's sad to see that, because there is supposed to be a separation of Church and state, and he referred to himself as 'Christian Leader' Mike Huckabee. Offcourse he will try to downplay his religion in more progressive states, but that's just politics.

He's playing the Bush card and it's scary to see how he sounds a lot like Bush. Remember voters, religion, especially the evangelical type, cannot go back into the White House... it'd be the end of our era!

If someone's dumb enough to vote based on religion in the fist place, then I don't no what this country has come to and that makes me think that it is pointless ever to vote and I'm only 15 years old!

All you people who said "Christianity and Politics". try CHRISTMAS and Politics! The ad is simply his campaign and his support of saying Merry Christmas. If you don't like to have "Merry Christmas" said to you, then say so. BUT BACK OFF those of us who don't mind. This is America and Anyone can say whatever they want. If it upsets you that people use Christmas in Worldly things, either accept it as part of American Freedom or go find your own Island, buy it, and set up your own set of rules. Til then, MERRY CHRISTMAS to EVERYONE!!!

Unfortunately, Huckabee is beginning to sound like the Ayatolla of the Southern Baptist Convention.

God help this country if he wins.

It annoys me, but it is his right as an American to do that. Now, if he is elected to office and he tries to make his religion part of the government, THEN we have an issue.
