One of my contacts opened an account two days ago. He did not ask any foul questions nor did he give any foul answers.

He never received any violations.

However, today his account was suspended!!!

How and why?

He should appeal, and ask Y!A why he was suspended. It doesn't have to be foul to be considered a violation. There are other ways to violate the community guidelines. If he said anything hateful, anything that advocated violence, anything illegal, posted a link to something like a gambling website, persistant point gaming, chatting, soliciting, etc., those are all against the community guidelines.
If he did not do any of the above, he should appeal the suspension, get his account back, and decrease the amount of trust Yahoo! has placed in the person(s) that reported him.

Ive got suspended twice. Once i was on level two close to three and i was on level 3 the second time. Who knows how soon it will be this time! I hate that they suspended accounts, they didn't even have a reason to suspend mine. LoL

I once had an account suspended within 45 minutes. Didn't ask any questions, didn't give any answers, other than my opinion-which did not have any crude, derogatory, or otherwise inappropriate content or words.....my guess is, it was a big baby that reported me for something really, really, stupid.....that's probably what happened to your contact, too.

Could be that his IP has been flagged for past violations of the community guidelines. Then he provides an answer that just barely crosses the line and someone reports it and he's gone.

my friend opened an account, and it was suspended even before she could ask or answer any questions..something very screwy about Y.

They check you ip address and if you have multi accounts they will delete it. They are getting smart.

I received 2 e-mail violations today for God knows why.

Yahoo!Answers is going down the drain...they're just being stupid or he's got a troll that follows him around.
