If I got a linksys, would it find more people online?

i have a wii and play guitar hero 3. I play it online even though i dont have a linksys, because i use nearby online connections. a lot of people own this game and play online for the wii according to people i know who have it and game informer mags. but i dont usually see many online. is this because of me not so well connection with other linksys? or are people seriously jst not on?

wii doesn't have as broad of an online audience like xbox 360, but its still alot... get a better online connection!
