Firstly, you usually won't get your period until there's been around a year after the first signs of puberty - the growth of pubic hair (hair over the genitals and under the arms), and the start of breast development (budding is when the breast start to develop and the nipples are sometimes tender.)
Then you may notice that at certain times of the month you feel a little crabby, with a sore tummy, and have a slight sticky discharge down there. That means your hormones are starting to kick in, and your periods will arrive soon.
If those symptoms are happening now, you should be prepared to carry sanitary pads and a change of underwear in case it does come. Talk to Mum, or a trusted adult, to help you be prepared. These can be carried discretely in a little zip lock purse, which you can put into a pocket, your handbag or school bag. Nobody but you needs to know you have them.
Sometimes you might have a friend who gets caught without them. So they are good to have on hand.
Take care and remember that half of the world's population is/has gone through what you are. You are not alone, and if you have questions, you should ask them. Take care.

Bloating, Gas, mood swings, pimples, need for sweet foods. It varies. I don't get all of those it kindof switches up. For you it might be a little bit different because you are just starting. You might start spotting.

Your hormones will change, cramping, water weight gain, changes in your skin, it might become oilier or dryer.
you might get blood spotting in your bloomers that looks more brown/black then red.
Don't worry, you're still young.
Trust me sweety, you shouldn't be in such a rush, having a period is no fun.
