Yeah, they have this song there called 'Life on Earth?' but in reality they don't think so, because it's so absurd to think there could possibly be anyone else out there in the infinite space.

No conclusive evidence has yet been found to support the presence of life on Mars. However, the more we explore the planet, the more chance we have to find such evidence.

One problem at the moment is that Mars landers are very expensive and a high priority is to get them onto the surface of Mars safely. This means they tend to land in the flattest and most exposed areas, and these areas are probably amongst the least likely places for life to exist.

Once it becomes possible to explore deep into Martian caves or soaks or underground reservoirs (assuming they exist), we may increase our chances of finding living things.

Simple lifeforms are pretty tough here on earth. They can survive deep underground, in hot springs and other inhospitable environments. One could then suppose they might also survive on Mars.

If lifeforms are found on Mars, a whole lot of questions arise. How are they related to Earthly life. Do they have DNA, and if so does it have the same structure as Earth DNA. Did the life on Mars arise independently of Earth life or are they related?

Finding life on Mars that arose independently of life on Earth may help to explain how life got started here on Earth and increase the chances of life existing elsewhere in the universe.

Nothing is certain, yet! When man lands on the planet we should have the conclusive answer at that time. Though conditions there are currently inhospitable to most forms of Earthly organisms, Mars might have once been quite conducive to life as we know it. If I were a betting man, I would wager that there are fossils there that would prove beyond a doubt that we are not alone---if one considers micro-organisms as alien life, and so we would! As for intelligent, sentient life-forms, I highly doubt it exists on Mars, and in my guess, unlikely at any time. Highly evolved life forms might well be rare in our universe, let alone our solar system.

I believe it was the great late C. Sagan who guesstimated that at the most conservative estimate, that our galaxy alone should contain at least 1000 civilizations!

Technically, yes, there *IS* absolutely (proven) life on Mars. You see, its nearly impossible to completely sanitize germs from spacecraft, so there are certain to be some microbes stuck to the many human-made landers that we have sent there. We have sent many things up into space, unprotected from the elements, even to the moon and back, and the microbes stay alive. We even study them to see what kind of damage radiation does to them.

However, we have no evidence of any life originating from Mars that is currently living there. The skull/face on mars was just a bunch of rocks casting shadows, we have reimaged it since then in direct light. Its possible that there is life on Mars, or once was, but if its there we havnt found it yet.

There has been no signs of life on mars. They believe that mars can support a life system because it's core is still active. Theres a show on the history channel about it. I'd reccommend watching it.

There is not complete certainty but many people/scientists believe that their is not life on mars. The truequestion is was there life on mars because it appears that at sometime there was flwoing water on the surface. Since water is one key to life it makes it a heavily researched topic.

As of right now no life of any type has been found on Mars. There is some belief that simple lifeforms may have existed long ago, but again, no conclusive evidence has yet been discovered to substantiate this.

in my opinion, mars is a planet very similar to the earth, just a few million years behind...im guessing that at some point in time, there were or will be life on mars.

nasa theorizes that at one time mars had a watery past and they do believe that microbal life existed, There are meteors that has hit mars in the past and sent debris into space and some of that debris has landed on earth and scientists are debating whats in those rocks from mars, Some say that the building blocks for life exist there and other say no, So at this point it is unknown,, We will find out in the future when man goes there or Nasa sends a craft there to get soil samples and return them to earth, at this point its unknown but all eveidence of what they have now suggest that it did at one time, also nasa at jpl says that water was active on the red planet as recent as the last 5-7 years and thats a good start,

When I was there, I found none, but I didn't look everywhere. After my trip, I was convinced, however, that there is more of a chance of finding life on Mars than there is of finding weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
