Alot of gynecologists don't mention this fact but a persons body weight has alot to do with whether or not any birth control pill will work. Ortho Tricyclen Lo is a lower dose birth control so this makes it even more dependent on your weight. Always make sure you take your pill at the same time every single day. If you forget one, don't wait for the next dose take the missed dose as soon as you remember. The pill has to be taken at the same time everyday as to keep the level of hormones constant in your body at all times.
As for unprotected sex birth control pills don't do anything to the semen or sperm. They are not affected at all. The pill actually causes your ovaries to not release eggs, so it's all on you and whether or not you are consistent with taking your pill. Also, birth control pills do not protect against sexually transmitted diseases so make sure that your partner has been tested. Again, birth control pills do not affect him or his sperm. Birth control pills only protect against pregancy when taken correctly.
Also, never ever smoke while taking birth control pills. This can cause even a young healthy person to have a stroke.

If you are on ortho tri cyclen lo you shouldn't need plan b at all. I would call your doctor before taking it again, you might be overdosing on hormones.

It's been great, as far as I can tell. I mean, we're not super careful about "pulling out" and stuff, yet I've never been pregnant or even had a pregnancy scare, so I'd give it a thumbs-up.

I was on it for almost 2 years and even missed some pills here and there (not good) but I never got pregnant. My husband and I (then boyfriend) never used condoms, tisk-tisk, but no, I never got pregnant on it. Even when I came off of them it took us 3 months of trying to become pregnant.

i never got pregnant while on it. but it did make me feel like i was pregnant for the first week of every new pack. i was nauseas with sore boobs and irritable etc.

im on it right now actually its been a year since iv been on it; iv never missed a pill iv taken my pills late though; but iv never been pregnant and its never given me any problems @ all

didn't get preggers at all on it...and I even skipped many pills.
