No, I'm serious! Like saying "I do" triggers some fault in the brain and causes some people to completely forget how to hear? I wonder sometimes...there's just no other explanation for saying something 800 times and still having to say it again. Or maybe...maybe marriage causes short term memory loss. Hm...I'll have to become a scientist so I can research these theories...What do you, good people of Y!A think?

I don't nag. Don't be so rude. I may be forced to stick my tongue out at you.

I'm going to take a guess and say you don't have kids yet? If you think getting married causes hearing loss......wait until you have kids. Then you'll be saying things 80000 times and they won't hear. Try saying words like "sex" that should work.

YES, IT DOES, and usually the first sign starts at about the age of 12 or 13, as that is when kids become deaf also, then it usually cures itself about the age of 24, and reappears when a man gets married, sometimes even standing in front of the tv is the only way to get their attention, and then they just tell you to move, honey i've been there and done that with 3 teenagers and 2 husbands, just the nature of the beast, and they say woman are shallow, there are only 4 or 5 subjects they are interested in and i think you know what 3 of them are LOL

It's called Selective Hearing Loss--and men develop terminal cases of it.

It does cause "selective hearing", a condition most men acquire shortly after their vows. Try whispering around him like you don't want him to hear what you're saying. This greatly improved my husband's hearing.

It causes selective hearing loss and forgetfulness. You know, when the spouse says, "I remember the time you said this and that" and your response is, "I NEVER said that!!"

Always remember to ASK and not NAG a man. My man will do ANYTHING because I ask nicely... getting up on your high horse and unleashing a tirade on him probably won't work. Do what works. Hopefully this helps.

It's not hearing loss. They just adapt and learn how to filter out certain voices.
