I wasn't born until thirty years after he was president, but I think I see what he was like. Barack Obama just reminds me of him, the way he smiles and stuff.

Let me rephrase it. I think they've both got similar charisma.

That would make you probably not old enough to vote yet.

I was born the year JFK was assassinated.

Barack Obama's speech at the Democratic convention when he said

"There is not a black America and a white America and Latino America and Asian America,"
"There's is only the United States of America."

That was a echo of JFK's hope and optimisim and we can do anything ... go to the Moon... become a better people a better nation.

Although he tries to stay positive he hasn't reached that level of inspiration of message on the campaign trail.

Look I am a fan of Obama, though I am not supporting him for President, he is far to inexperienced. Kennedy was a 13 year veteran of congress and a decorated war hero.

So to paraphrase Lloyd Benson

"Senator, I knew Jack Kennedy
Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine
and Senator you are no Jack Kennedy"

Not even close. He has neither the charisma, intelligence, smile, speech making or vision for the country that Kennedy had.

only in that they were/are both fairly young and charismatic. they have different sorts of charisma. JFK was more of a smooth charmer and obama is more i guess commanding like he was a king or something. Edwards is closer to Kennedy.

anyway it's hard to compare because things are so different these days.

Barack Obama is a fresh face, with new idea's going nowhere in the national presidential election for the plain and simple reason, the cat was let out of the bag when Ophra Winfrey, a billionaire showed up and campaigned with him! The American people of all colors do not need another president beholding to more billionaires! Oprah has an agenda and the facts show it is not giving poor blacks or anyone else M-O-N-E-Y! Oprah has admiited she has more money than she could ever spend....or needs, but she has earned it and plans to keep the bulk of it! Black America is in bad need of $$$, but other than having some of the poverty stricken on her show to tell their sad, stories....she laughs all the way to the bank! Oprah need not go to Africa to find Black Americans or others in bad need of funding for a basic needs to sustain an existence as she has with the girls school! Why not help those here...who end up serving in our military, fighting, dying to protect her rights to have her show and make her billions? Contrary to public perception, Oprah is anti- American in her personal beliefs, her track record of helping Americans vs foreigners on foreign soil, points this out! Why not help Black America who has the highest poverty rate? Why not help out Black America that has the highest unemployment rate? Why not help out Black America that has the highest incarceration rate? Why not help out Black America that has the highest one-parent birth rate? Barrack Obama does not need any advice from Oprah Winfrey unless he plans to run a campaign which spells out....Hurray for me and You go to hell while I live a lifestyle with the rich and famous! What Oprah gives to charity amounts to a person having $100,000 and giving away $10.00! Oprah Winfrey wants to be the Black Queen Bee....and all the others can grovel at her feet and beg her for money! Black America will not therefore she goes to Africa to help blacks! They are willing to fall to the ground and worship her and that is what she wants! Barrack Obama is no Jack Kennedy...he would know better than to have Oprah campaign with him! Obama will fail and he can put a finger on what went wrong!

No, it's only you. The way he smiles? You weren't even there when Kennedy was president. Obama and him are not alike except for the D after their names.

I remember Jack Kennedy, and he's no Jack Kennedy. Edwards reminds me a little of JFK.

I agree with you. And they both wanted Americans to ask what is best for America and not just for themselves. "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." Unfortunately, that kind of selflessness no longer exists in the U.S. for the most part.

LOL!

Actually he reminds me of a young Ted Kennedy. Before Chappaquiddick that is. After that guilt caused him to eat like a pig and blow up.
