Hi KD,

Great question sir!.....its about time some really ."think"

"creativity" if really well seen is what this so called "life" is all about.
I mean thats all I see around. Nature is constantly "creating" therefore..causing US..to give in to it!..So YES!! i do feel that creativity is and always will be a "necessity"...
If Pablo Picasso was asked this I do believe he would agree with.."necessity"

thanx!

I agree with christine its neither hobby or necessity, but its a talent I believe your born with or without. No body can make you creative, but i guess if you have the predisposition to it and are brought up surrounded by creative inspiring people its helps you develop in the same direction! or if you have had a bad, empty and stressful life this could stump your creativity!? some people haven't a grain of creativity but their happy and manage to survive well enough.

Necessity....no, no, necessity is not even a strong enough word.....it is what compels me to be, to exist....it is the driving force behind all I do.
Creativity to me is not just about my art or creating art, it is about creating my life, what I do with my energy, my positive energy.
I am creative...therefore I am.

I actually consider creativity to be a gift/talent.... I love to scrapbook and make cards, but for me, it takes alot of planning, researching ideas and, dare I say...help. On the other hand, my sister and my sister in law both can sit down and knock out beautiful products from the top of their head. It is one thing that I truly am jealous of.

It's both, but definitely more of a necessity.

As a lapsed prescription pill addict, my drawing and coloring and writing has saved me. A true necessity.
