I'm impressed, you can get 5 minutes of tummy time, my guy wouldn't tolerate more than a minute or two and even then you could tell by his face he wasn't happy. He spends more time on his tummy now that he can roll both ways but still doesn't last much more than 5 minutes before he either rolls himself or cries for me. Don't stress about, lots of babies never get any tummy time until they are much older and they turn out fine. My doc says tummy time on a parents chest counts as well so maybe you could make tummy time into snuggle time?

My daughter was the same way, she started to enjoy tummy time more and more as she got older and more mobile. I think at 16 weeks they are still pretty dependent on you to change their position. They enjoy it more when they are in control of their own bodies.

if you are worried about his health ask your h visitor. other wise i would suggest keep on persisting dont leave him crying tho as soon as he makes it clear hes had enough pick him up make contact and reassur him.
if he is crying he just unhappy. every child is different my boy loved it my girl hates it.
as soon as he starts rolling he enjoy it so much more he be able to control it.
good luck tho
hope he likes it soon

Try putting him on your stomach. babies like to see whats going on so all he can see is the floor... pretty boring. But if he can see you he wont really care he is on his stomach. good luck
