No, but if I did it would be a whiskey sling and lots of quilts on the bed.

Not at this time. I haven't, knock on wood, had the flu in more that 35yrs. When I feel a cold coming on I take Zycam. It really does help prevent the cold from becoming a full blown cold. If I start using it to late it will at least lessen the severity of it. I swear by the stuff !!!

I had a very nasty cold that I caught shortly after returning from the islands in early September...first thought it to be allergies; then a cold. Took all sorts of OTC stuff. Nothing helped. Then I was left with a horrid cough. Thought it to be cigarettes. Didn't go to the doctor until I was too sick to do anything else.

Turned out I had bacterial bronchitis. He put me on Ampicillin and Clava something...and Musinex. It worked! I was well actually within a week..but kept taking the antibiotics until they were gone, as instructed.

My chest x-ray showed the bronchitis, but thank God nothing else.

As we age, we should not put off seeing the doc when 'colds' or whatever appear...ya' never know.

Since, I have taken his advice and my eldest daughter's and at the first trouble sign I take Zicam - herbal remedy.

Zicam is great if you start taking it at the first signs of a cold. It will shorten your bad experience. I don't think that I have ever had the flu.
I also like to drink a little whiskey and sprite when I have a cold. It mellows me out so I can rest.

No & No......I got a flu shot, & even though I could still get it, it wouldn't be as severe. As for a cold, I can't recall when the last time I got a call. Now, sinusitis is another story.

Complete bed rest..yes the laptop fits nicely on the pillow beside my head.

Plus I had my daughter bring me a bell to ring, and I am having a blast ringing it to ask her stuff like " Does my head feel warm to you?" "Will you rub my feet for me?"
Besides it makes her feel needed.

" If you do catch a severe cold, remember that more than half the people in our age group survive these kinds of illness. "

By the way, what does it mean when you blow your nose and your ears squeak?
Just trying to make you laugh, feel better soon my friend.
