Today I was able to define my wealth.
Can't afford a doctor, but assume some fair health.
96 cents and a can of beans;
with a rent check due to tax my means.

But it's the holiday season and I'll find some cheer
in Wild Wolf Shiraz and a few cans of beer.
No gloom and/or doom for me this time,
for this too shall pass, as I move toward sublime.

It's not like I have never been "here"
climbing hills in a very low gear.
I count each breath as a bounty, "Cachingggg"
and those old standard carols, smiles, I do try to sing.

So make your lists and check them twice,
don't worry so much about naughty or nice,
and as a "Newbie" I just wanna say,
may your know your wealth on that certain day.

Happy holidays to all, however you celebrate,
I ask "Don't wake me early on 01/01/08."
If you're Chinese you can party for two New Years, eves
and make me some OOLONG, I have fresh green leaves.

Smiles and thanks so far. It's just a very realistic assesment of my current situation and sense.

I'll be all the more over it, when it's over, and might just still tip a cup of the "grape" :)

This sounds like the perspective that I have taken in regards to the holiday season. I have been very annoyed by it in the past but have found a new sense of acceptance towards this unnecessarily stressful time.
