My friend is sick with mono and shes been out of school for about 2 1/2 months (shes having a lot of organ problems). I want to send her a care package. Any good ideas? (She's your typical preppy girly teenage girl). =)

Magazines, nail polish, dvd's (think Mean Girls, Ten Things I Hate About You, etc), books, Sudoku puzzles, Mad Libs, candy, cookies, chips, mix cd's, photos of you, her, your friends, everyone together, board games. Whatever is in your budget. You may do better if you chip in with a few friends so you can get her a bunch of cool stuff.

Some current magazines, a good book, some activity books like sodoku or crosswords, some neat pens and stationary, nail polish and a manicure kit, treats (you might want to run them by her parents first to make sure she can eat them, if she's have complications she may be on a restricted diet), a new movie or a gift card to Blockbuster so she can pick out a movie, nice hand lotion and lipgloss. I think things along those lines will keep her occupied and make her feel good.

Does she do any crafty stuff? You could get her a small cross stitch project or someting like that. They are really cheap and burn up plenty of time!! Or maybe some of those plaster figurines and a set of paints and brushes. They sell them at WalMart and craft stores.

I remember when my sister had mono - it was very sad she couldn't do anything she liked and she was down about that. So I brought things to her that she couldn't do - some suggestions:
have a girl's night with her bring the movies, popcorn, soda, pillows and just help her feel comfortable and relaxed, since she might just want to lay down.
Suggest if she's up to it, playing a board game, this will get her moving a little bit and is always fun.
Bring her some good fun books to pass the time.
Paint her nails or give her a facial - mono is contagious but you won't get it as long as she doesn't sneeze on you. :)
Cook her a good dinner or bring ice cream one night! :)
