okay, I'm doing a project on how this effects males and females differently.

you turn off all the lights, spin around for 30 seconds. Stop and immediately shine a flashlight in your eyes. You should fall down as a result of too much light going through your brain at once.

What is this called?

Visual sensory overload.

The eyes are deprived of any light and have begun to adjust to it by having the pupils dilate. Spinning around upsets your equilibrium. The sudden bright light in the eyes bombards the optic nerve because the pupils have dilated to allow more light to enter. This creates an overload of visual sensation. This added to your already unsteady equilibrium causes you to completely lose your balance.

You need to be careful doing this experiment as you could cause temporary blindness in your subjects.

A seizure. A self induced seizure. I know this because I am epileptic and I cannot watch Japanese cartoons because the light is going through my brain at too fast a rate for me to process.
