I'm really into unique names, but most of mine are down-to-earth. For a girl, I really like the name Arden. I feel it is not used often, and is pretty. I also like Kendall. It may be more common than Arden, but it's also pretty. For a boy, I like Peyton and Reed. Peyton is now commonly used for a girl, but I feel it is more of a masculine name. I think it is unique and strong sounding. Reed is just a name I have grown to love. I think it is simple yet sophisticated. What do all of you think of these names?

By the way, the names I picked will come in and out of popularity because I am far from having children. I just wanted to know other's opinions on the names I really like.

I like Arden, as in the Forest of Arden. It has some subtle Shakespearean flair.

Kendall is nice, too.

What with Peyton Manning, I think it's true that you can safely use it for a boy, too.

I'm not wild about Reed, though I do like Rhys.

I am really feeling Arden and Reed. Kendall is also nice, but like you said, a little trendy these days. As for Peyton, I agree that it is a cool-sounding boy's name, but the fact of the matter is, he'll probably end up in a class with a girl or two named Peyton, and the kids will tease him for having a girl's name, although it isn't really gender-specific.

I named my daughter Payton and everyone seems to like it. I agree it has became a very popular name. she is 8 now so at the time it wasn't as heavly used. Also no one thinks I named her after Peyton Manning or Walter Peyton. I also like the name Kendall. Arden reminds me of Elizabeth Arden and the big red door. But any name you pick will be perfect because it's the one you want. Another name for a boy I like is Corbin.

My two favorites are Kendall and Peyton. I would suggest using more common middle names just to balance them out.

Kendall Rose
Kendall Elizabeth

Peyton James
Peyton Michael

My favorites: Kendall Rose and Peyton Michael!

The girl names are fine but the boys name aren't that great. Reed reminds me of a piece of wood. and Peyton will give people the impression you named him after Peyton Manning. So, i say for a boys name... Kurt perhpas.
